To help with your course selection for next year, use the pathways map to plan where you want to go and how to get there.
• If a subject is orange, it is either a Unit Standards course or one that is designed to help your pathway to a job/career directly out of school and not to university.
• If a subject is green, then it has a UE pathway, meaning the skills learnt in it will help you make the transition to level three.
• If a subject is dark green, then it is a UE approved subject at level 3. You will need at least 3 of these if you want to gain entry to university.
You will study six subjects this year. Select four subjects that interest you. Your Dean or SLT will discuss with you the literacy and numeracy subject that fits you best. My aim is to get 60 credits. Orange subjects offer unit standards and will offer more credits per course to help get NCEA Level 1 (60 Level 1+ credits). | You will study six subjects this year. - Year 11 students will study six subjects. Students need to select one numeracy subject and one literacy subject after consultation with a Dean or SLT.
EDGE INNOVATION PROGRAMME:
Year 11 students wishing to continue in the Edge Innovation Programme will study six subjects the Edge three option bundle (1EDGE) and three other optional subjects. The compulsory Literacy and Numeracy subjects are included as part of the 1EDGE bundle.
