In Level 3 Business Studies students, in collaborative groups, will learn how to develop a market plan and how to create a business plan that allows them to produce and market a product (selling a product) utilising the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES). The Young Enterprise Scheme provides a range of opportunities for students to learn how to market, produce and sell a product that they collaboratively have created. They will learn how to market their product using online selling platforms with the assistance of the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES).
Option Overview
Term 1
Internal Assessment 1 - Market plan
The students collaboratively determine a product that they are considering producing to sell. The group then develops a market plan, including market research.
Term 2
Internal Assessment 2 - Business Plan
Students collaboratively work on creating a business plan, which will enable them to produce the product.
This can then be marketed using a variety of platforms.
Internal Assessment 3 - Contribute within a group
Term 3
Internal Assessment 2 - Business Plan continues
Students collaboratively continue to produce and market their product, using a variety of platforms.
Term 4
Internal Assessment 2 - Business Plan continues
Student complete an annual review of their product.

Assessment Information
Assessment in Business Studies includes a variety of presentation styles - predominately from written presentations, using a variety of techniques (google docs, google slides). They may learn to use canva, a presentation platform, to present their annual review. The course only includes internal assessments.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
