Option Description

This course is intended to suit students who want to concentrate on improving confidence with the study of language and literature and building basic English skills of oral, written and visual communication. Students are encouraged to work towards the literacy requirement for University Entrance.
Main area of study:
• Developing reading skills • Improving technical aspects of written expression • Improving communication through language • Increasing information literacy and critical thinking skills.
Assessments offered will allow students to pursue their interests, to build literacy skills and to meet the University Entrance literacy requirement. (Students may work at Level 2 and 3 English Achievement Standards concurrently with the aim of meeting UE literacy).
