Option Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms G. McClean.
Students will develop their performance, communication skills and techniques and learn to perform with confidence to a live audience. Students will study a range of texts bringing them to life onstage. Students will co-create and perform their own stories as a group on a given topic.
Option Overview
Term 1
Internal: 1.1 - Techniques Assessment - Studying and Performing scripts from Aotearoa.
Term 2
Internal: 1.2 - Devised Drama - Students will create and perform their own production in small groups.
Term 3
Internal: 1.4 - Theatreform - Students will investigate and perform in the style of a chosen style of theatre.
Term 4
External: 1.7 - View and respond to Live Performance

Assessment Information
Assessment in Drama will be by practical performances for internal assessments accompanied by supporting evidence (written or recorded) and evidence of engagement and collaboration.This course will include both internal and external standards.
The external standard will require students to attend and analsye a live performance they has seen during the year and write a written response.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
